How is the superficial LASIK procedure performed?

The eye surgeon at the highest-equipped hospital removes a central area of the corneal epithelium with a solution of a blunt surgical instrument, which is one of the global devices available to us, then an EXCIMER laser is used to precisely reshape the curvature of the corneal surface. Required examinations before the operation:

-Fundus examination

-Eye pressure measurement

-Mapping the cornea and measuring its thickness.

-You must refrain from wearing contact lenses approximately one week before the operation – to stop taking blood-thinning medications.
